What is SEE in Nepal?

In Nepal, SEE stands for Secondary Education Examination. It’s a crucial test for students to finish their grade 10, marking a significant point in their education journey. Before SEE, there used to be a School Leaving Certificate (SLC) exam, but now, it’s replaced by SEE.

The SEE exam takes place every year, typically in March and April. Students from all over Nepal take this exam, which is conducted by the National Examinations Board (NEB). A Brief History

How To Check SEE Results?

Nepal’s government usually takes the 10th class exam in the months of March and April and publishes results in the month of July i.e. Ashar of every year. Here are the ways you can use to check your SEE results.

Check Result Online:

To check the result online, please carefully follow the steps mentioned below.

• Go to the websites https://see.ntc.net.np/, http://result.see.gov.np/result, or https://see.gov.np/exam/results.
• Look for the link or topic that says “Results or SEE results” on the homepage.
• Input the necessary details, such as the symbol number provided on your SEE admit card.
• Select the “submit” button.
• Your results for the respective year will be presented on the screen.
• Verify your result’s details, download it, and take a printout for future reference.

Check Through SMS:

When results are published due to heavy traffic websites may go down or inaccessible in such a situation you can also check your 10th grade result via SMS. To check follow the below steps:

• Open the messaging app on your mobile phone.
• Type “SEE” followed by a space.
• Send this message to the number 1600. (For example – “SEE 0201382D”)
• Within a moment, you will receive your SEE result in your message inbox.

SEE Result 2078 Statistics (Pass Percentage & Grades)

In the 2078 Secondary Education Examination (SEE) results announced by the National Examination Board, there are noticeable shifts in students’ GPA distribution. The number of students achieving high GPAs has decreased, as has the count of those with lower GPAs. Meanwhile, there’s a rise in students falling within the middle GPA range compared to previous years.

Specifically, the GPA categories of 3.2-3.6 and 3.6-4.0 have seen a decline. Presently, 9,633 students fall in the 3.6-4.0 GPA bracket, constituting 1.94% of all students. This marks a 1.88% drop from the previous academic year in 2075.

Additionally, 41,627 students received GPAs between 3.2 and 3.6, accounting for 8.40% of the total. However, the GPA in this group is 2.74% lower than that of students in 2075.

On a positive note, there’s an uptick in the number of students with GPAs between 2.8 and 3.2, 2.4 and 2.8, and 2.0 and 2.4 in SEE 2078 compared to SEE 2075. Conversely, there’s a decrease in the number of students with GPAs between 1.6 and 2.0, as well as those below 1.6.

Results from various provinces reveal that 84,491 students from Province 1, 107,425 from Bagmati Province, and 76,847 from Madhes Province have passed the examination. Province 1 achieved an impressive pass rate of 174%, considering the overall passing rate.

Furthermore, 46,129 students from Gandaki Province, 46,487 from Lumbini Province, 37,362 from Karnali Province, and 57,010 from Sudurpaschim Province have successfully passed the exam. In total, results have been published for 495,751 candidates across all provinces.

SEE Result 2079 Statistics (Pass Percentage & Grades)

As per NEB, in the SEE examination 2079, a total of 4,84,939 students appeared in the examination, and from them, 4,70,947 passed the test. And, the remaining 13,992 failed, meaning they are unable to get the minimum GPA of 0.8.

Cancellation of SEE in Nepal (2023 A.D./2080 B.S.)

The cancellation of the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) in Nepal is a significant development that happened recently. SEE, which used to be a crucial exam for grade 10 students, has been canceled, and it will be replaced with a new system starting in the academic year 2024.
